FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — For the 2017 MLS season, the New England Revolution have introduced their brand new secondary kit featuring a bold, predominately red design. Inspired by the American flag, the red and white kit represents the Revolution’s pride in representing all of New England as an authentic and original Major League Soccer club.

The secondary kit is the newest addition of UnitedHealthcare’s six-year partnership and kit sponsorship with the Revolution. The new kit features UnitedHealthcare’s sleek new logo across the front.

As with the Revolution’s primary kit, this jersey design employs a classic soccer aesthetic that is authentic to the sport and unique among today’s MLS clubs. The red-and-white striped pattern is reminiscent of the 13 stripes on the American flag, representing the original American colonies. This kit is symbolic of the Revolution’s pride in unifying six of the prominent original colonies as one New England.

“At every level of our organization, we aim to represent our community in New England and remain authentic to the sport,” said Revolution President Brian Bilello. “This new kit embodies those values and I look forward to seeing our team wear it with the same pride with which we represent our region and the game of soccer.”

“The New England Revolution embody an active, healthy lifestyle we hope all people can share, which is why we are grateful for our amazing six-year partnership, including our jersey sponsorship,” said Terry Clark, UnitedHealth Group’s Chief Marketing Officer.

The secondary kit was unveiled at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 12 by Revolution players Kei Kamara, Lee Nguyen, Xavier Kouassi, Scott Caldwell, Kelyn Rowe, and Diego Fagundez; both Caldwell (Brookline, Mass.) and Fagundez (Leominster, Mass.) are proud New England natives. The launch event was hosted by Revolution broadcasters Brad Feldman and Paul Mariner, as several other players, coaches, club executives, and Revolution fans gathered for the kit’s debut.
